With the majority of residents in favour of rebuilding the 60-year old Fire Hall No.1, a new modern facility is taking its place downtown for improved efficiency, turnout times, and accessibility.

The simple ‘crescendo’ design of this new steel and concrete structure is amplified with the use of black metal siding and glazing along five truck bays, as well as integration of exposed wood in the ceilings. With a 50% increase in size, the three-storey facility will house an emergency operations centre, a fire dispatch centre, and administrative offices.

Development of the new fire hall speaks to the community of Prince George, ensuring that standards are being met with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
