The demolition of a classroom wing created space for a new six-storey extension. It is connected to an existing high-rise classroom building that will be refurbished and connected by a corridor.

The new building consists of classrooms, administration rooms and a cafeteria. The laboratory rooms are located in the basement level of the building, and an additional fitness area was incorporated into an extension of the gymnasium.

The four-storey classroom block floats above a recessed glass facade. In some places, wide cantilevers of individual rooms protrude into the atrium. The construction consists of a regular and efficient structure using reinforced concrete construction, partly constructed using appearance quality concrete and exposed OSB. Fast + Epp designed a structural system at ground floor level that transfers 5-storeys of load on 25m clear 2 pons. A system of wall beams and upstand beams makes this possible.

The construction of the connecting passage includes columns made of precast reinforced concrete elements which are clamped into sleeve foundations. They support a timber construction of glued laminated timber ribs and laminated timber panels.
