Since 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has been a vital resource for homeless and at-risk youth. To address the city’s growing demand for youth services, Covenant House – Phase 1 was developed as part of a comprehensive renewal program aimed at expanding and enhancing support. Located in downtown Vancouver, this 5-storey mixed-use building offers not only shelter and transitional housing but also a wide range of essential services aimed at fostering stability and personal growth.

The facility includes 28 units of transitional housing, along with meeting and service spaces, dining areas, and communal lounges, to create a safe, supportive environment where youth can access counseling and crisis programs.

The building is part of a two-phase development, a second facility, situated directly across the street, features a cohesive and deliberate design language that visually connects the two structures and reinforces their unified mission.

This project was completed in 2019, achieving LEED Gold and reflecting its commitment to sustainability and the wellbeing of its occupants.
