Jasper Place Library receives Merit Award

December 5, 2013

Jasper Place Library has received a merit award in the Urban Architecture category at The City of Edmonton’s Urban Design Awards. The awards, which took place on November 22, 2013, at City Hall in Edmonton, honour architectural excellence. Completed in collaboration with HCMA and Dub Architects, this 15,000 square foot library features a distinctive post-tensioned undulating concrete shell providing a fully open space below.

“Edmonton’s Urban Design Awards broaden the dialogue about the value of good design and its importance in creating more enduring, distinct and memorable urban places that make up a great city,” says Toronto urban designer Mark Reid, one of this year’s judges.
