The roof structure is separated into two separate elements. The lower section of roof covers the health and administration space along the east and west wings of the building, and the centre portion of roof is raised over a clerestory window system to provide maximum light into the space. This centre roof extends to the entry space and offers a large cantilevered canopy for the main entrance.

The building features historic artifacts and is almost twice the size of the former health centre built in 2004 which responds to the growing health needs of the community.
