  • Budget2,900 ft² (270 m²)

The Glass House brings a vibrant ambience to the home with its open living room as well as kitchen and dining functions. The structure is supported on steel posts and covered with structural insulated panels (SIP) and a timber roof. On the contrary, the Earth House serves as a space for comfort and warmth with its green roof and composition of weathered 10-gauge steel plates. The structural detailing for all three volumes required extensive coordination between all consultants.

The build time for this residential project was accelerated with the use of prefabricated SIPs, which also minimized construction impact on the local environment. Waste was further minimized due to this prefabricated element as well as exposing structural nail-laminated timber in the ceiling, acting as a finishing.
