Fast + Epp selected for Edmonton Valley Line West LRT team

November 2, 2020

Fast + Epp is pleased to be part of the winning team, Marigold Infrastructure Partners, selected to construct the 14-kilometre Valley Line West LRT in Edmonton.

The $2.6-billion project is the second phase of Edmonton’s 27-km LRT Valley Line. The first phase, Valley Line Southeast, is currently under construction. When complete, the LRT will provide connection between Mill Woods and Lewis Farms.

“As Edmonton grows, our transportation needs are outpacing infrastructure capacity. LRT provides a proven, high-quality, high-capacity, efficient and environmentally-friendly means to move people,” according to the City of Edmonton Valley Line West booklet.

The Marigold Infrastructure Partners team consists of Stantec, Standard General, Colas, Parsons, Francl Architecture and Fast + Epp.

“It’s an honour to be part of the team that will bring the second phase of this  project to fruition – contributing both an important piece of public transit to the City, along with economic benefits that an infrastructure project brings.”

Construction will begin in 2021, and is slated for completion in five to six years.
