In this section of “Dispelling Myths and Misperceptions About Mass Timber”, the presentation discusses that while the demand and recognition for mass timber is becoming increasingly popular, there is still some restraint within the North American development community to adopt this form of construction. With over 10 years of experience in engineering and having been involved with numerous mass timber buildings in the US, Eloïse brings considerable experience to guide attendees through the process of taking a mass timber project to fruition. Case studies will be highlighted throughout the discussion – addressing the myths and misconceptions that may be stopping developers from considering mass timber while highlighting lessons learned that inspire developers to pursue wood.
