17-Storey Mixed-Use Wood Tower for Social Housing and Community Centre

A mixed-use wood tower at the corner of Davie and Burrard in downtown Vancouver will provide 139 new social housing units as well as a new home for LGBTQ community centre, QMUNITY. Fast + Epp is pleased to be working alongside ZGF Architects and New Commons Development for this ambitious project.

The building is proposed to be a mass timber hybrid structure that will stand 172 feet tall – one of the tallest mass timber buildings in the world – right behind Tallwood House at Brock Commons. With the use of cross laminated timber floors and structural steel supports, the new building is anticipated to be erected in record time.
