Eloise Allsop, Fast + Epp, presenting on the Effects of Future Technologies on Project Managers for Women in Construction

Eloïse Allsop presents at Women in Construction USA conference

July 2, 2019

Join Senior Engineer, Eloïse Allsop from our Seattle office, alongside Kira Jungfleish from Architekktur.de:, in San Francisco this September for a presentation entitled, “Back to the Future: The Effects of Future Technologies on Project Managers,” for the Women in Construction USA conference.

The future of project management will be highly affected by technical development. Language barriers are gone due to the advancements of machine translation and speech recognition. Manual labor will be minimized as automated construction takes over. Due to the evolution of mixed reality technologies, location barriers will be reduced. This creates the possibility that anyone can communicate with everyone and can be on site at all times. In our session, we talk about how we can transport this optimized communication and organization into our projects today. We discuss how we can create the urgently needed focus on people rather than work packages.

The Women in Construction conference takes place September 18 to 19, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. For more information on the program and conference, click here.
