Fast + Epp Pioneers New ‘Idea Calculator’ for Architects

Fast + Epp’s new iPhone app CONCEPT allows architects and designers to assess material feasibility and member depths, before putting pencil to paper.

Essentially a structural engineer at your fingertips, the free app features both a gallery of architectural images for inspiration, and an easy-to-use calculator for determining the depths of beams, slabs and joists.

A first-of-its-kind tool, says Vancouver architect Darryl Condon, with the potential to transform the early design process.
