Kristina Miele speaks in lecture at the University of Vermont

Senior Engineer, Kristina Miele from our New York office gave a special guest lecture last Friday on “Innovation in Timber Construction” at her Alma Mater, the University of Vermont’s Mechanics of Materials class.

As engineers, we are primarily problem solvers, and as students develop their careers, they should remember to think innovatively about the efficiency and use of materials – not only based on engineering properties, but also based on aesthetics and sustainability, while developing an understanding of where materials are coming from and how they are used.
