Kristina Miele

Kristina joined Fast + Epp’s New York office in 2018, where her passion for innovative design and architecture has quickly become an asset to the firm’s US-based projects.

Prior to joining Fast + Epp, Kristina gained experience in New York at Silman and Craft Engineering Studio where she worked on a variety of public, commercial, and residential projects. She also acts as a Visiting Professor at the Pratt Graduate School of Architecture, where she works with students to integrate structure into innovative architectural concepts.

Kristina is passionate about sustainability in design and developing an understanding of the environmental costs of construction materials and systems, which has been illustrated by her leadership of the New York chapter of the Embodied Carbon Network – an international group of over 500 members launched by the Carbon Leadership Forum. She is also the head of the Embodied Carbon sub-committee for AIA NY’s Committee on The Environment. In her free time, you will typically find her outside as she is an avid runner, cyclist, skier and rock climber.

Kristina graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Vermont Honors College, where she played Division 1 soccer and was a  Richard Barrett Scholar.
