Pierre Koch

Pierre Koch leads Fast + Epp’s Toronto office as Principal and has played a key role in the firm’s expansion into Eastern Canada. Since joining Fast + Epp in 2024, he has helped establish the Toronto office, leveraging over 25 years of experience in the local design community to support the firm’s growth and presence in the region. 

Over the years, Pierre has contributed to landmark projects such as Branksome Hall Athletics & Wellness Centre, the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario Headquarters, OCAD Rosalie Sharp Pavilion, and the Residence for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto. At Fast + Epp, he is currently working on several of the firm’s key projects including Ādisōke (Ottawa Public Library), the Frog Lake First Nations Healing Centre, and the New Brunswick Museum. Well versed in all major construction materials and building types, Pierre combines technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver innovative, community-focused projects. 

Pierre’s upbringing on the East coast has shaped his pragmatic and efficient approach to design and management. Growing up with two architects in his family has instilled in him a profound appreciation for design and the significant impact our built environment has on communities. 

He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from McGill University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in many Canadian provinces including Ontario and Quebec. Fluent in English and French, Pierre brings a collaborative, and strategic approach to every project he undertakes.
