Event: Tall Mass Timber Development in Seattle, The Business Case

October 26, 2018

In May 2018, the City of Seattle made changes to the building code and started accepting permit application for developments that use mass timber in heavy timber building types of up to 18-stories tall.

Mass timber manufacturing and construction methods for taller buildings in North America are now enabling price competitiveness to conventional construction using concrete or steel. Climate change, international trade disputes, and new levels of health consciousness are contributing to an industry momentum in support of renewable and locally available resources.

Industry leaders are invited to join us in Seattle on November 13th when our team, led by DLR Group, will present and discuss the construction cost feasibility of a 12-storey mixed-use mass timber tower in Seattle.

Space is limited! Please RSVP to [email protected].
