Carson Baker

Carson joined Fast + Epp in 2024 and has quickly established himself as a technical leader in the Seattle office. Known for his collaborative spirit, deep expertise in seismic design, and passion for bringing architectural imagination to life, he specializes in complex and unconventional projects. Carson’s ability to navigate unique massing challenges and intricate geometries makes him an invaluable asset on projects that demand both creativity and technical rigor.

Carson holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He approaches each project through a biophilic lens, prioritizing beautifully detailed, human-centered spaces while translating ambitious architectural visions into elegant structural solutions. His talent for thinking non-conventionally allows him to merge design excellence with practical constructability.

In addition to leading technical development efforts, Carson is very active in the structural engineering community, contributing to ASCE code committees, publishing research, and regularly reviewing and authoring code change proposals to advance the profession.
