Fast + Epp wins at fall 2012 NCSEA awards

August 15, 2012

Fast + Epp was recently honoured with two prestigious awards south of the border — UBC’s Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS) took home its first award of the year, while the VanDusen Botanical Gardens Visitor Centre project received its fourth. Both projects were completed in collaboration with architects at Perkins + Will Canada.

Firm engineers Julien Fagnan and Nick de Ridder were on hand to accept the National Council of Structural Engineering Associations’ awards in St. Louis, Missouri on October 5.

An award winner in the New Buildings $10 Million to $30 Million category, the judges recognized VanDusen for its sustainable, economical, and innovative design features.

Meanwhile, the 60,000 sq. ft. CIRS facility was recognized with an award in the New Buildings $30 Million to $100 Million category.
