Fast + Epp is looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee projects and become an important part of our leadership within the Edmonton office. They will be responsible for management of projects throughout Canada. The person that we are seeking to join our team must share our company core values and be able to provide leadership in both a project context and within the team in Edmonton.
Fast + Epp is an internationally recognized structural engineering firm with a team that prioritizes creativity and simplicity. We work with all materials but are well known for our mass timber and timber-hybrid projects. We love working on architecturally expressive structures, on every scale from single-family homes to large institutional buildings. We enjoy work with a high premium on structural expression.
Our Edmonton office is looking for an Engineer that has a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering with 7 plus years of experience and has a P.Eng license and with the ability to register in APEGA. We are looking for an individual with Project Management experience, strong knowledge of industry standards for engineering, project planning, construction, and understanding of Canadian building codes. Applicants should have strong communication skills and should be able to assist in all aspects of client relationships and project communications. Experience with complex architectural structures is considered beneficial.
Your primary role as senior project manager includes leading the project process in all phases of design and construction, working with clients, other consultants, and internal staff to deliver innovative projects. This role will provide active leadership with staff in the Edmonton office as well as involvement in larger company initiatives.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited University
- Minimum 7 plus years of experience
- Registration as a P.Eng. or ability to register with APEGA
- Strong knowledge of industry standards for engineering, project planning, construction, and Canadian building codes
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills in assisting in client relationships, project communications and thrive in a team-based setting
- Ability to work on a variety of project sizes and types concurrently
