This project comprises two 2-storey timber frame buildings supported on concrete floats, and is situated off the shoreline of the Middle Arm of the Fraser River. The concrete floats are moored in place by steel pipe piles driven into the river bed. The main gathering space features a timber roof supported on an elliptical beam and struts which metaphorically represent an inverted rowing shell.
