This small community centre features unique composite Timberstrand-steel trusses.  The trusses are shaped by cutting the truss form out of 2.4m x 12m x 89 mm thick solid Timberstrand panels.  A thin steel tension plate was fastened to the underside of the truss for enhanced tension capacity.  The cut out pieces were reused in a novel way to build benches for the entrance foyer.
